The Holy Trinity
Overview
Carl F.H. Henry summarized the Christian position on the Trinity when he wrote: “By intimations in the teachings of Jesus, by the events of Pentecost, and then by the inspired teaching of the apostles, the early Christians were left no consistent option but to affirm that three eternal centers of consciousness coexist in the Godhead.” This series of notes emphasizes the importance of accepting God’s propositional truth about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as revealed in the Scriptures and highlights our great interest in knowing who God is and what he is like.
